In 1940, Marcellus E. Wade, Jr. and his brother, Finley V. Wade, are listed as partners in a dairy farm and, previoiusly, their parents, Marcellus E. Wade, Sr. and his wife, Zourie P. Wade, had previously run a dairy operation there.
Kevin Wade was the son of Marcellus E. Wade, Jr. had a dairy operation, too. Hence there were three generations of Wade family dairy farmers on this property (Marcellus, Sr., Marcellus, Jr./Finley, and Kevin).
In the 1934 minutes of the MD-VA Milk Producers Cooperative Association's Adjudication Committee, this farm had a 20-stall barn producing about 35 gal/day. Drought given as the reason for falling production.
