Purchase Date: Wednesday, February 6, 1918
Sold Date: Tuesday, September 19, 1950
Date of Operation: Sometime after 1918 and through 1950.
Cows Milked: 51 - 100
Breeds Milked: Holstein
Daily Production: In MD-VA Milk Producers Cooperative Assoc. records for 1935 an 36, H. J. Green reported he had been producing 31.5 gal/day from 18 stalls. As he was considering buying a herd from Francis J. Valdenar (Farm # 523), "whose farm he was renting", and he wanted to transfer Mr. Valdenar's basis of 38 gal/day to a new 100-ac. farm he was going to buy. Some confusion here as Mr. Green had already purchased a 100-ac. farm in 1918 and in the 1936 entry in the Adjustment Committee minutes, he reported he was shipping 40-45 gal/day from a 31-stall barn. Suffice to say, both Green and Valdenar were members of MD-VA.
