John C. Letts bought the dairy farms of Martha E. and J. Thomas Austin and John G. Bohrer to form Ayrlawn Farm.  Ayrlawn was sold to a developer in 1946.  Most of the land was developed; some became a park; some sold to Ayrlawn School which used some of the buildings in its design.
